I have long dreamed of having wood flooring in my own home and I couldn’t be any happier with the availability of faux wooden tiles in the market today. I have read quite a few design blogs that featured this new innovation in making homes look rustic and elegant at the same time.
Verner Panton (13 February 1926 – 5 September 1998) is considered one of Denmark’s most influential 20th-century furniture and interior designers. During his career, he created innovative, funky and futuristic designs in a variety of materials, especially plastics, and in vibrant and exotic colors. His style was very “1960s” but regained popularity at the end of the 20th century; as of 2004, Panton’s most well-known furniture models are still in production. -Wikipedia
Verner Panton in his own words:
“The main purpose of my work is to provoke people into using their imagination. Most people spend their lives living in dreary, grey-beige conformity, mortally afraid of usning colours. By experimenting with lighting, colours, textiles and furniture and utilizing the latest technologies, I try to show new ways, to encourage people to use their phantasy imagination and make their surroundings more exciting”.
Here are some of his works featured in Copenhagen – Hotel Alexandra (situated right in the heart of Copenhagen by the Town Hall Square and the Tivoli Gardens):

Accessories are a salient part of the design process. One such accessory that you can include in your bedroom in the nightstand. I am using a makeshift nightstand in my room right now. I am using one of my walnut-colored kitchen chair (it kinda looks like the first picture below). I believe that nightstands don’t have to be the standard table or console. You can use any material, size, shape and color as long as it will fit your need. If you plan to put a lamp, books, a vase and the like, always ensure that your nightstand is sturdy enough to support all of them.
